Any business that wants to use open source software must understand a few important things. First, open source and free software are not the same. Free software is always open source, but open source is not always free software. Second, just because many developers contribute freely to open source, it doesn’t mean they will prioritize your problems. If a business wants to benefit fully from open source, they will need to dedicate some of their own resources to the open source community.
