  • Android Grabs Record 85 Percent Smartphone Share

    Android accounted for 84.6 of all smartphone shipments for Q2 2014, a new record.

    Here are some additional numbers for Q2:

    • 249.6 million Android smartphones were shipped, up from 186.8 from the same period last year.
    • Overall smartphone shipments grew 27% annually in Q2 from 233M to 295.2M
    • Strategy Analytics predicts smartphone users will approach 2.5 billion by the end of 2015
