The list of products at CES that run on Linux has been growing for years, this year is no exception. Many vendors openly discuss their use of Linux, but some are much more difficult to identify. Smart TVs are one of the products Linux has mostly taken over with numerous companies that have released TVs that run Linux including LG, Samsung, and Panasonic. The adoption of Linux for Smart TVs has been nearly ubiquitous.
Home automation witnessed explosive growth in 2014 with many new companies and projects being launched. In particular, the company SmartThings (recently purchased by Samsung) has built a home automation hub that runs Linux and is shifting towards a system based on Tizen.
3D printing kits, routers, drones, and charging devices are all additional technologies found at CES that run on Linux.
