The Center for Development of Open Technology (CDOT) at Seneca College in Toronto was founded in 2002 to provide education and research for open source technology. The students work with faculty and business partners to develop open source software and gain real-world development experience. Their curriculum includes core tools and methodologies used in open source, work for CDOT, and classes that are completely focused on contributing to specific open source projects. CDOT has been involved with Mozilla, Red Hat, Blindside Networks, edX, and WebGL.
