Harvard University has released an open source soft robotics toolkit designed to help anyone get started building soft robots. Soft robots could play an important part in search and rescue missions or surgical operations due to their ability to flex and fit into confined spaces. They operate through a system of inflating/deflating to move and the toolkit includes a fluidic control board, detailed design documentation, and a wealth of resources and materials to learn about soft robot design.
