  • UAE Exchange Opts for Open Source

UAE Exchange is the largest money transfer and foreign exchange company in the region by a number of metrics and their IT team has struggled to keep up with the company’s rapid growth. The centralized structure the company relied on was no longer adequate to support the company so they began searching for new solutions. After experimenting with multiple services, Red Hat Linux was ultimately chosen for their new IT systems because it allowed them to control their IT infrastructure in a decentralized manner, and the modular nature of the software allowed them to roll it out part-by-part. The company’s transition has made it much easier for them to expand their operations in a way that requires only marginal increases to IT efforts.
