The second annual TOR challenge was recently wrapped up by the Electronic Frontier Foundation. 1,635 new TOR relays were set up during this year’s challenge, a huge improvement over last year’s 549 new relays. The goal of this challenge is to improve the TOR network and make it more secure for anyone who uses it, and this year’s competition went a long ways towards furthering that goal. The challenge was held in conjunction with the Free Software Foundation, the Freedom of the Press Foundation, and the TOR Project.
