Jay is a JavaScript wallet for the cryptocurrency NXT that has been released as open source. It consists of two elements, a server that communicates with the NXT network and a client that runs in any web browse and gives the user access to all of the currency’s capabilities. The client works in a way that allows it to be used without ever connecting it online; transactions can be shared with the network using a thumb drive to transfer the signed transactions. The wallet has only basic functionality in its current state and the team is working on adding a wealth of new features.
The NXT project advertises themselves as the next generation of cryptocurrencies and the Jay wallet might help them achieve this stature.
