The Linux Foundation Hyperledger project is an effort to advance open source blockchain technology. It’s goal is to “build and sustain an open, distributed ledger platform that will satisfy a variety of use cases across multiple industries.” The project has announced the election of a board of directors and technical steering committee that includes representatives from IBM, CME Group, J.P. Morgan, Intel, Digital Asset Holdings, and more.
The Hyperledger project is currently one of the fastest growing projects hosted under the Linux Foundation. Along with this election came the announcement of numerous new companies that are joining it through sponsorship, this paints a very bright picture for the future of blockchain development.
