Minority groups that are often marginalized, have struggled in communities that are transparent. Issues of harassment pushed minority groups away from the popular platform Gittip after what has been dubbed the ‘Gittip crisis.’ A small group of developers from Gittip have left to start their own crowd-funding platform that focuses on providing tools and resources for minorities: currently codenamed ATUnit.
