    James Pearce, head of open source at Facebook, has helped the company leverage the power of open source communities. The UI, core data, and infrastructure teams have all benefited from open source projects and have, in turn, contributed back to these projects. Pearce seeks to make Facebook a leader in rapid, collaborative, open source development.
