The Ubuntu Edge Kickstarter campaign was the largest crowdfunding campaign ever when it ended, but the company still didn’t manage to raise the money it needed to launch it. The phone featured a quad-cor processor, 4GB of ram, and 128GB of internal storage, specs that would have made it the most powerful mobile device on the market. The phone and operating system were highly unique in many ways, and were designed to offer a seamless experience between mobile, desktop, and big screen usage. Despite its failure, there are still many people that want to see this phone come to fruition even a year after its failed attempt to launch.
