Following last year’s LinuxCon a group of people came together to form Universal Tux, a group dedicated to improving accessibility of Linux and other open source software. There are a few projects working towards this end worth noting:
- Dasher is an application that allows text input through a variety of interfaces and methods of interaction that assists the user through text prediction.
- Orca is a screen magnifier that has received additional attention over the last year to bring it up to date.
- Enable Viacam allows users to control mouse input by moving their head.
- The Open Prosthetics Project is producing 3d-printed prosthetic limbs.
