The UN Food and Agriculture program has teamed up with a coalition of partner agencies to develop a data crunching tool to help national governments and relief organizations in their efforts to respond to crisis and conflict. InfoRM is designed to help identify where and why crises are likely to occur by tracking and evaluating 50 different indicators that measure hazards to people, community vulnerability, and a community’s capacity to cope with problems. The information used by InforRM is sourced from a variety of international organizations and academic institutions.
