CoreOS has announced the release of app container, an application that works similar to Docker by allowing applications to be packaged inside containers. Along with this release, CoreOS is also releasing Rocket for deploying and orchestrating app container. The company will continue to support Docker for anyone who would rather use it by allowing Docker containers to be packaged using Rocket as well.
